 The Amesbury Center for Healing was founded in 1996 by Kathryn Ryan Krippendorf and Diana Burnham. While it has gone through changes over the years, the center has always provided a safe and comfortable environment for you to receive different types of massage and bodywork. Currently we offer several different types of massage, including Kriya relaxation massage, therapeutic massage techniques including myofascial and deep tissue, and hot stone massage. We also offer Reiki energywork and Guided Journeys.

As many of you know, I, Ryan went to school for the past two years to become a licensed and certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. I am now employed full time at a skilled nursing facility called Ridgewood Center in Bedford NH. This job, as well as a recent injury, has severally limited the time I can spend doing massage and I have decided to limit my clientele to those people who are already clients and any referrals they may give me. Any new business I will refer to Diana. I will take about three appointments per week, and continue to work out of Kimball Road until such time that the house sells. This could be in a few months, or, given this real estate market, a few years! I am proud to announce that Diana Burnham, who has been with Amesbury Center for Healing since its inception in 1996, has now fully launched her private practice, Diana Lynn Burnham Massage. With her children growing up and entering their teen years, Diana has more time to develop and expand her practice. In October she opened her Dover NH office at the Painted Elephant Massage Studio.

This winter Diana developed her own website with an on-line scheduling and gift certificate option including the ability to pay by credit card and Paypal. Diana then began to work on expanding the home and corporate aspect of her business. She can bring massage to you by traveling to work places or homes or create massage-based fund-raising events for your organization. Her other on-site service, the “Massage Party,” has been really taking off this spring.

Due to putting my house on the market this spring, Diana has  moved her Amesbury office to a wonderful holistic center at 21 Water Street called The Way To Balance. Diana’s style of bodywork will make a nice addition to that center’s already existing massage, acupressure and energy work services.
